Why I do Readings

Well, that’s an interesting question isn’t it? I’ve asked myself this many times as I dipped my psychic toes in the waters of “for pay” consulting, wondering why I would even subject myself to all the hushed whispers and rolling eyes, when I could more easily sit in my sewing room and make cute baby booties and cool Renaissance garb and present myself as “completely normal”.

Ya huh.  Completely normal.😉

I suppose it all comes down to this; the information I am able to receive might be very helpful to someone, so how can I NOT do readings for people?

The information I have access to, however it manages to push its way though to me (I keep checking my head for little hidden antennas), is very specific and always helps someone address a question in their life.  I can see it in their face, through their tears, and in some cases, people reach out to me months later to tell me how the reading affected their path.

Now, don’t make a mistake and think for one minute that I tell people what to do.  I never say that they must move, must leave a job or partner, or go to buy a house/cat/pumpkin.  Nope.  Not my job.

My job is to show people information that is just out of their reach, just out of their normal thoughts and help them ask themselves enough of the right questions to find their own answers. And

In my own life, I had a very gifted woman psychic tell me that one day, I’d meet a man who’s short name started with B and that he’d change every aspect of my life, from my work, to my circle of friends, to my finances.  She also described my children to a T, and my then-current relationship as if she was my best friend for years, even knowing some very private stuff that I’d never told a single person.  Oh, and it was a spur of the moment reading at an event I just happened upon so she could not have known a thing about me.

So, while it was erie that she nailed my current situation, I dismissed her prediction until two years later when I met a guy named Ben, who hired me, and well, the rest is exactly as she predicted.  We have just celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary and everything about my life did change.

My personal gifts of knowing, hearing and seeing don’t fall into that realm...yet. They are growing stronger and more diverse, must be the “elderly wise sage” time of my life!

So, while I am blessed to have this ability to help people, I’m going to do it.  With bells on and a sense of humor and a blind eye and deaf ear to the naysayers and critics.  When ya know what ya know, you just don’t need to prove yourself
